Tahiri is a traditional sindhi sweet rice It is an aromatic sweet rice preparation, cooked on special occasions like marriages, mundan, puja ceremonies.
- Take a pan and add sugar, little water and boil it.
- Heat ghee in a pan and add bay leaf, cardamom then saute it.
- Add basmati rice and saute it, later add water and cook it.
- When rice is half cooked add fennel seeds, raisins, cashew nut, sugar syrup and mix it, cook with place lid on it.
- Take a bowl and add all purpose flour, icing sugar, butter and mix to make a dough.
- Roll dough and place it in the mould, press lightly remove extra edges.
- Place butter paper and pour rice on it.
- Preheat oven at 180 degree and bake it for 15 minutes, later remove butter paper and bake again until it get brown colour.
- Later spread banana puree on it. Remove bay leaf from cooked tairi and spread rice.
- Top it with slivered almonds, pistachios, grated khoya, red and green tutti frutti.
- Again place in oven 2 minutes and transfer into serving plate.
Now sweet rice tairi is ready to serve.
