Adhirasam is a traditional South Indian sweet which is usually made in Diwali times. It's very popular sweet which is almost made in every home.
- In a pan add jaggery, little hot water and boil to make a soft ball consistency.
- Switch off flame add sweet potato, sesame seeds, half cup rice flour and mix nicely add fresh coconut paste mix it to make a nice dough.
- Add cardamom powder, ghee and mix nicely, transfer into a bowl.
- Divide dough into small round dumpling and press it on ghee applied polythene sheet with a flat bowl into flat round.
- For some round dumpling press sesame seeds in center and press it into a flat bowl into flat round and deep fry in oil and transfer into a paper towel.
- For savory: Take a bowl and add rice flour, ginger, red chili flakes, curry leaves, crushed ground nuts, butter, 1 teaspoon oil, asafoetida, salt, soaked chana dal and mix nicely to make a dough.
- Divide dough into small round dumpling .
- Take dumpling and and press it on oil applied polythene sheet with a flat bowl into flat round and deep fry in hot oil, transfer into a paper plate.
Now Sweet potato adhirasam with savory is ready to serve.
