- Boil water in a pan and season it with salt.
- Now,prepare a dough of ragi flour, rice flour by adding boiling water to it.
- Take a fine hollows hand sev machine, place dough and press on leaf placed in steamer like as shown in video. Then steam cook with closed lid for about 10 minutes.
For tempering:
- Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, split urad dal, chana dal, chopped ginger, onions, green chillies, salt and saute it till onions are slightly transparent.
- Then add half of steamed idiyappam and saute it, check for seasoning.
- In another half of steamed idiyappam, sprinkle sugar.
Now both hot and sweet ragi idiyappam upma is ready to serve.
