A spicy fast to prepare chutney made with cabbage. Steamed Cabbage Chutney is an awesome easy to cook chutney that tastes extremely good with any type of Indian flat bread, rice etc. This delicious steam cooked chutney is made with combining cabbage, green chillies, coriander leaves, garlic together and steam cooking them for few minutes. They are then added with fresh grated coconut, ginger pieces, and blended to coarse paste.
The chutney is a pleasant mix of varied flavors, slightly sweet, tanginess form lime juice; sesame seeds give a nutty and crunchiness on bite. This chutney is just refreshing and a very comforting food to eat. Steamed cabbage chutney has subtle flavors, mildly spiced yet yummy, appetizing and is finger-licking. Steamed Cabbage chutney is yummy crunchy added with roasted sesame seeds with tantalizing flavour and a little extra crunch and nutty flavour to taste. Dear Chef, we can't get fresh coconut from our shops. We have dried coconut powder though, is it ok to use as it is or should it be soaked or somehow prepared before??
