Chapati is Indian flat bread made of wheat flour. It is the staple food in the North Asian countries especially in North India and Pakistan. It can also be made of various other flours like the jowar, bajra, soya, ragi etc.
- Heat little oil in a pan, add chopped onions, tomatoes, carrots, beans, red chilies and saute it on slow flame.
- Then season it with salt, coriander powder, cumin powder, red chili powder and mix well.
- In a bowl, add wheat flour, a pinch of salt, 1 teaspoon of oil and prepare a thick dough by adding water to make rotis.
- Prepare a slurry of all-purpose flour with water and keep aside.
- Divide dough into portion and roll into chapati then cut into small rounds and stuff it with vegetable mixture by removing the excess portion of roti while cutting.
- Later apply slurry to corner then close edges in a semi-circle like as shown in the video.
- Heat half teaspoon of oil in a pan, place pocket chapatis and cook it on both sides by applying oil then switch off the flame.
Now pocket chapattis are ready to serve with tomato ketchup.
