The sweet that originated in the royal kitchen of Mysore Palace. Shared here is the low-calorie recipe where the use of ghee is reduced to a great extent and cooked in an MW instead of a gas top.
- Powder sugar and keep aside.
- Sieve besan without lumps then mix both powdered sugar and besan and microwave (medium) for 2 minutes. Mix well and microwave for 1 minute to slightly roast.
- Then add 1 cup of ghee to the mixture and mix well without lumps and microwave for another 3 minutes (450w) then mix in 1 tablespoon of milk. Mix the mixture well and microwave medium heat till bubble appears, stirring it occasionally in between.
- When the mixture becomes thick, and bubbled well, leaving sides thenpour it on a greased plate and allow it to cool. when it thickens, make diamond shaped or square shaped slices using a cutter or knife.
