Munagaku Sambar is a healthy version of sambar and delicious as well.
- Boil toor dal by adding hing and turmeric powder tothe water.
- Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, urad dal, cumin seeds, dry red chilies, curry leaves, hing , chopped onions, drumstick pieces and saute it.
- Nowaddred chili powder, coriander powder, along with a cup of water and boil till half cooked.
- Thenadd tamarind pulp, chopped tomatoes, jaggery, salt, give it a mix and cook itwith closed lid for about 5 to 6 minutes.
- Transferboiled dal to the same pan, along with a cup of water and cook for few more minutes.
- At last, add drumstick leaves and cook well.
Delicious Munagaku Sambar is now ready to serve.
