Rasam is a South Indian soup common in all South Indian homes especially Tamil Brahmins.
- Take a bowl, add coriander stems, curry leaves, green chilies, tomatoes, salt, turmeric powder, boiledtoor dal along with water, cook it for 15 minutes.
- Take a pestle, add cumin seeds, pepper corns and crush it.
- Heat ghee in a pan, add mustard seeds, when mustard seeds splutter, add crushed pepper corn and cumin powder and even add asafoetida.
