Dal pakwan can be had for breakfast or snack which is easy to prepare. This can be had with crispy puris.
- Boil the chana dal by adding water, turmeric powder, salt and oil and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, cloves, chopped ginger, garlic, green chillies, turmeric powder, curry leaves and saute it.
- Then add boiled dal and check for seasoning, add salt, amchur powder to cook it and then keep it aside.
- Take a bowl, add all purpose flour, pepper crush, semolina, sesame seeds, salt with 2 tablespoons of oil and mix thoroughly.
- Then add water and make a bit stiff dough then let it rest for about 5 minutes.
- Now make large dumplings and press like small thick poori’s.
- With the fork, pork the poori’s. Then heat oil in a pan and deep fry the poori’s on slow flame.
Now Dal pakwan is ready to serve with dal.
