This is a special south indian style vada can be had for breakfast, snack and it is also a healthy recipe.
- In a blender blend the overnight soaked black dal, green chilli, ginger, peppercorns, curry leaves, cumin seeds and make a coarse paste.
- Transfer this paste into bowl and sprinkle little bit of water, salt and mix it and make vadas.
- Heat oil in a pan and deep fry this vada until it become golden brown colour and keep it aside.
- For tempering heat oil in another pan and add mustard seeds, red chillies, urad dal, chana dal, curry leaves, cumin seeds and saute it.
- Now transfer this tempering in a bowl and add hung curd, salt, fennel powder and mix it.
- Take the vadas and cut it horizontally into two slices and apply the ginger pickle to the vada and place hung curd mixture, chopped onion, coriander leaves to one slice and squeeze the lime juice and cover the another slice.
Tasty black vada sandwich is ready to serve.
