Think of Karnataka cuisine the first thing which pops into our mind is Bisibele bath. Bisi means hot, bele means dal so bisi bele bath.
- Wash the toor dal and add 1 ½cups of water to it. and keep aside.or cook along with rice as shown.
- Roast the dry red chilies, fenugreek seeds, mustard seeds, whole garam masala, coriander seeds, chana dal, urad dal, fresh coconut pieces and transfer into a blender and make it into a fine powder and keep a side.
- Heat the oil in pan and add the cumin and mustard seeds, red chilies, cashew nuts and curry leaves, after spluttering add the onions, green chilies, hing and fry till soft. Add all the chopped vegetables, turmeric powder and softly fry it.
- Add soaked toor dal, rice, water, salt and cook it for 10 minutes.
- Now add masala powder that we have prepared at earlier.
Garnish the dish with coriander leaves and serve it hot.
