A perfect traditional dish carry forwarded from our ancestors usually made for breakfast or for meals.
- Take a pan, add oil to it. Once hot enough, add mustard seed and cumin in it once they start spluttering.
- Then add chana dal, urad dal, and peanuts fry till golden brown.
- To it even add curry leaves and brinjal pieces in it and fry till they become soft and change color.
- Add tamarind juice in it to this along with additional salt, vangi bhath powder and red chilly powder( if you want it to be spicy). Keep mixing it until it becomes thick.
- Once done add cooked rice to it. Switch off the gas and let it stay for some time.
Vangi Bhath is ready to be served
