This is a very tasty upma made in Andhra Pradesh and very easy to prepare.
- First keep a thick bottom pan on the stove and add the oil and put mustard seeds,cumin seeds,urad dal, chana dal red chilies and cashewnuts for Tempering.
- After they get fried add chopped onions and green chilies, saute for 2 minutes then add chopped tomatoes,brinjal and potatoes. Saute them for 5 minutes.
- Then add soaked and cooked green peas (NOT frozen) and water. When water starts boiling, add the sooji or semolina and keep stirring continuously till it cooked.
- Then switchoff the stove and add coriander leaves and ghee the tomato bath.
Serve hot with any chutney or sauce.
