Sooji halwa is a simple yet delicious and yummy sweetened semoline fried in ghee and garnished with nuts. Its also popularly known as Kesari bath in the south region and Sheera in the northern region of India.
- Take a pan, add butter, roast dry fruits little brown colour, then add sooji and mix well till it changes it colour to light brown.
- Now add sugar and mix well then add water, colour (optional), salt, cook for 5 minutes. Close it with a lid.
- In the same pan, sprinkle sugar(as required) on top and mix it well. Switch off the flame and let it cook for few minutes with closed lid.
