Pani puri is a popular street food snack in India. It is the best party snack preferred by most of the younger generation Paani Puri-Crisp puffed puris stuffed with sprout stuffing and filled with delicious spicy water.
- Soak chickpea overnight and keep aside.
- Grind the mint and coriander leaves into fine paste and keep it aside too.
- Mix pani puri masala in 2 litres of cold water then season it with mint and coriander paste then add ice cubes. keep aside.
- Boil or pressure cook these soaked chickpea in a pan or presure cooker in 1 cup of water by adding salt (to taste) then drain and keep aside.
- Add salt, chilli powder to the potatoes and mix in the boiled chick peas mixture and the bean sprouts (optional).
- Make a hole on one side in each gol gappa, and fill it with a teaspoon of the potato mixture then top it with a little mint and tamarind chutney.
- Before serving, dip each gol gappa in prepared pani puri water and serve it.
