A traditional Karnataka sweet that is prepared on special occasions and religious festivals. Also, a very popular dessert in traditional Maharastra cuisine and is called Chirote which is a mouth watering delicacy
- In a bowl add maida, semolina, ghee mix it and by adding required water make it like a chapati dough and rest it for 15-20 minutes.
- In a pan, heat some water add sugar, cardamom powder and make it like a gulab jamun syrup.
- Now roll the rested dough into thin sheets and layer them by spreading ghee and rice flour.
- Roll the sheets and cut it into small pieces, then make them like small puris and fry them in a medium heat oil till they get a nice color.
- In another bowl add milk, saffron color mix and keep aside.
- Now put the fried chirotis in sugar syrup for 2-3 minutes.
- In the serving bowl arrange the chirotis and from the top of it pour the milk and serve.
