Mutton Sambhar is one of the authentic and traditional recipe of tamilians. This sambhar goes well with steamed rice, idli and it is heavenly when accompanied with Dosa.
- Take a pan and add mutton, chana dal, masoor dal, little water, salt, turmeric powder and mix nicely, later transfer into the pressure cooker and cook for 3-4 whistle.
- Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, cloves, cinnamon stick and saute it.
- Add dry red chilies, green chillies, onions, little salt, ginger garlic paste, curry leaves and saute it.
- To it add turmeric powder, red chili powder, desiccated coconut powder, tamarind juice and allow it boil.
- Add pressure cooked mutton mixture and mix nicely, check for seasoning later add tomato, a little salt, little water and boil for 3-4 minutes.
- At last add coriander leaves and switch off the flame.
Now Mutton Sambhar is ready to serve.
