Matar kachori is an Indian street food, the best among Indian veg snacks recipes. Matar kachori is a fried poorie or kachori recipe with mashed peas and spices as filling. Enjoy the matar kachori with chutney or pickle.
- Take a bowl and add all purpose flour, salt, 1 teaspoon carom seeds, 1 tablespoon oil and mix nicely later add water to make the dough, keep aside for 15 minutes.
- Take a mixie jar and add green peas and blend it coarsely.
- Heat oil in a pan and add ½ teaspoon carom seeds, asafoetida, green peas saute it.
- Add salt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, ginger, green chillies, amchur powder, chaat masala, chickpea flour and saute it for 2 minutes and switch off the flame.
- Divide the dough into small portions and make round with hollow in the center and keep the stuffing.
- Close the edges and roll it lightly.
- Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the kachoris on slow flame for 10 minutes, until it changes to golden brown in colour.
- Transfer it into paper towel.
Now hot kachori are ready to serve with tomato ketchup.
