- Grind the onion, garlic and ginger into a fine paste.
- Grind cumin seeds, argemone, chillies and bay leave separately.
- Fry the fishes in oil and keep it aside.
- Cut the potatoes into small pieces after taking out the skin.
- Fry the rice in oil. When it turns brown add potatoes and fry.
- After 5 minutes add onion, ginger and garlic paste to it.
- After frying a little add the cumin seed, argemone and chilli paste to it.
- When nice flavour comes out from the spices pour 3 cups water. Let it boil for sometime.
- Add the fish to it and cover with lid. When it is cooked add the cardamom and cinnamon powder and remove from flame.
