Mangalore (Kundapur) Chicken Curry is one of the versatile coastal curries, which goes very well with almost anything, neer dosas, Idlis, sanna. Mangalorean chicken curry with rice crepes (Kori rotti ) is a heavenly dish.
- In a pan add red chilies, peppercorn, coriander seeds, fenugreek seeds, tamarind pieces, dry roast the ingredients.
- Then grind this ingredient to a fine paste by adding coconut powder and water.
- Heat oil in another pan, add chopped onions, salt, ginger garlic paste, turmeric, green chilies, curry leaves, masala paste, and cook till oil oozes out of gravy.
- Add chicken to the above pan, mix it and cook it with closed lid on a slow flame.
- Later season it with salt, coconut milk and cook for another 10 minutes.
- At last, sprinkle chopped coriander and switch off the flame.
