- Firstly Wash the rice and dal properly and keep aside
- Then Cut the coconut into small pieces.
- Now heat oil in a pan add coconut pieces, cashew nuts. and Keep aside, Chop the ginger and chilies.
- Heat oil in another pan addcumin seeds cardamom and cinnamon pieces. and fry till they splutter .
- To that add the rice and dalchopped ginger and chilies, salt and turmeric powder and fry it for 10-15 minutes.
- Now add 5cups of water, Put the raisins, cashew nuts, sugar, fried coconut pieces and cook for another 10 minutes by putting the lid on.
- Serve hot with raita or curry.
