Karonda also called as cranberry has a sour taste. An excellent cranberry chutney with the combination of green chillies in a string, marinated in lime juice mixture makes it delicious.
- First take karondas and green chillies and make a slit on it.
- In a bowl, add ginger powder, fennel powder, cumin powder, asafoetida, chilli powder, salt and mix it well.
- Then stuff the slit karondas and chillies with above prepared mixture.
- After stuffing the mixture take a needle and thread pass the needle along with the thread into karonda and chillies alternatively to form like a necklace. Later, place it in a glass.
- Now, make a syrup of sugar, salt, lime juice.
- Pour the syrup in the above glass and leave it for about 3 to 4 days. Serve it.
