Dal Makhani is a delicacy from Punjab in India. Traditionally this dal is cooked on a slow flame for hours on the charcoal for best flavors.
- Pressure- cook the soaked dal with little oil and salt.
- Heat oil in a pan, add chopped onion, salt and saute till onion turns golden brown in colour. Add ginger,and mix for few minutes.
- Add choppedtomatoes and fry then add green chilies, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and mix for few minutes.
- In the same pan, add dal and mix well for 15 minutes. Add cream and cook by stirring occasionally.
