The cucumber dal is a type of dal cooked with yellow lentils and Indian cucumber especially famous in Andhra Pradesh.
- Boil toor dal till it is cooked well.
- In a sauce-pan, heat 2 teaspoons of oil, add broken red chilies to it then add mustard seeds and the cumin seeds,hing, saute it.
- When the mustard seeds begin to splutter, add garlic, chopped onion, salt, curry leaves, chopped tomatoes and green chilies and cook it well.
- To it, even add chopped cucumber, cover and let it cook well till the tomatoes and cucumber are tender.
- Then add the cooked dal to the above pan and mix well.
- Later, add butter, remove from fire and garnish with chopped fresh coriander leaves. Serve it.
