This a nice combination recipe with chow chow(chayote) and Bengal gram topped with coconut.
- In a blender add ginger, fresh coconut and green chilli blend it like a coarse paste.
- Heat a pan add oil when oil is hot add mustard seeds.when mustard seeds splutter then add red chillies, cumin seeds, urad dal, curry leaves, a pinch of hing and chow chow vegetable pieces, salt mix it and cook this with the lid on.
- In this add prepared coconut and green chilli paste and also add chana dal (soaked and boiled) mix it well and cook it for 5 minutes with the lid on.
Serve with rotis.
