This classical Portugal influenced goanese dish has a concoction of chicken, garlic, red chilies, vinegar and other Indian spices.
- In a mixie jar add garlic cloves, fenugreek seeds, red chilies (soaked in vinegar) and some vinegar, peppercorns, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, mustard seeds, whole garam masala and add a little bit of tamarind, turmeric powder, onions and make a paste.
- Heat the water in a pan, in this add chicken and potato pieces put the lid on and let it cook for 10 minutes in a medium flame.
- After 10 minutes know add prepared masala mix well and again put the lid on and let it cook for 10 minutes.
- In this add tomato puree and salt cook this for few minutes.
- Then add jaggery mix well and put the lid on and let it cook for 5 minutes.
Switch off the flame and serve this with rice.
