My name is Deepa. I am from Mangalore. I had tasted a recipe called Chicken puli munchi. I tried to replicate that dish by the taste of it. It does taste something like that.
- Dry roast red chilies,coriander, jeera, methi .
- Dry roast coconut seperately.Make a paste of these items with ginger, garlic, tamerind and salt.
- Marinate this paste to chicken with lemon and turmeric powder. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
- Take oil and fry onions and lots of curry leaves.
- Put marinated chicken. Simmer and slowly cook chicken on low flame till its done and fry it on high flame.
- Do not add water while cooking.
