This is a variety and very tasty upma made with cabbage instead of onions for a change and taste. You will get an awesome taste.
- Take a pan and add oil, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, chana dal, urad dal, cashew nuts.
- Then add chopped ginger, chopped onions, chopped green chilies, curry leaves, tomatoes, salt (as per taste) and add water bring all this to a boil.
- Then add grated cabbage, semolina and mix it well.
- Once it becomes thick, Switch off the flame.
To make the chutney:
- Take a pestle add cumin seeds, garlic and crush it.
- Add red chilli powder, oil and curd, mix it well.
- Add grated cabbage and ground it.
Serve on a plate.
