This is a chettinad special item. Chettinad is a small community in South IndiaSoak the par boiled rice, raw rice , urad dhal amp; fenugreek seeds for 3 hrs. Then grind then to a little coarse batter. Let it ferment over night. Next day, after it is fermented. Take a pan add some oil, once the oil is hot add some mustard seeds amp; urad dhal. Let the mustard seeds cracel, then add the curryleaves,onions and green chillies, let them saute for some time then add beetroot amp; carrot. Don#39;t cook the vegetables completly. Let it cook only till the raw smell goes off. Then off the gas. let this mixture cool down. Later on add this mixture to the fermented batter.
