Ingredients used in Radish Dumpling Biryani
• Basmati rice - 1 cup.
• Salt - to taste.
• Radish (grated) - 1 cup.
• Paneer (grated) - 1 cup.
• Corn meal flour - 1 tablespoon.
• Oil - 4-6 teaspoons.
• Black cumin seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Biryani phool - 1 numbers.
• Cinnamon stick - 1 piece.
• Cardamom - 1 numbers.
• Cloves - 4 numbers.
• Star anise - 1 numbers.
• Bay leaf - 1 numbers.
• Green chillies - 3 numbers.
• Onions - 1 numbers.
• Ginger garlic (paste) - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Turmeric powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Mint leaves - 1 bunch.
• Coriander leaves - 1/2 bunch.
• Tomato - 1 numbers.
• Yogurt - 1/2 cup.
• Red chilly powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Cumin powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Coriander powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
Method:
  • Take grated radish, Squeeze out moisture from radish.
  • Then add grated paneer, salt and mix it.Then add cornmeal flour and mix it well.
  • Take small dumpling and make round balls and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the radish balls to golden in colour and transfer into a plate.
  • In a same pan, add black cumin seeds, biryani phool, cinnamon stick, cardamom, cloves, star anise, bay leaf, green chillies, onions, salt, ginger garlic paste and saute it.
  • Then add turmeric powder, mint leaves, coriander leaves, tomato, yogurt and saute it for one minute.
  • Then add red chilly powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, squeezed out water of radish.
  • Once moisture is slightly evaporated add arrange radish balls, spread rice as a layer.
  • Top it with mint leaves, place lid and cook it for 10 to 15 minutes until it is done.

Now the hot radish dumpling biryani is ready to serve.
