Ingredients used in Summer Mango Honey Bowl - Egg & Oats Omelette Horlicks Oats
• Mango - 1 number.
• Water - 1(1/2) cup.
• Oats - 2(1/2 ) cup.
• Salt - to taste.
• Honey - 1 tablespoon.
• Cinnamon powder - 1-2 pinch.
• Eggs - 2 number.
• Mushroom (chopped) - 1/4 cup.
• Onion (chopped) - 1 number.
• Capsicum (chopped) - 1/4 cup.
• Coriander leaves (chopped) - 1 0.
• Tomatoes (chopped) - 1/4 cup.
• Butter (cubes) - 2 number.
Method:

Preparation of mango honey oats bowl:

  • Cut mango into pieces like as shown in video and keep aside
  • Boil water then add 1 & half cup of oats in it and mix well.
  • Add pinch of salt, mix nicely and switch off flame.
  • Transfer to serving bowl and top it with mango pieces.
  • For sweetness, top it with honey or maple sauce and sprinkle cinnamon powder.

Now, Sweet Honey bowl is ready then...

Preparation of oats egg:

  • In a bowl, add eggs and beat well.
  • Then add pinch of salt, chopped mushroom, onions, capsicum, coriander leaves, tomatoes, mix well.
  • Heat 2 cubes of butter in a pan, add oats and saute it for a minute.
  • Add prepared egg mixture on top and cover from all sides with extra oats in pan.
  • Let it cook on both sides on low flame with closed lid.

Now oats summer mango honey bowl with oats omellette is ready to serve.

Oats are cooked and eaten as porridge, or used in baked goods like oats cookies, oats muffins, oatcakes etc. In India, oats is added in making oats upma, oats khichidi etc.

Oats in the past few decades is considered a very popular health food as it is packed with dietary fiber and has a range of healthy cholesterol lowering properties. Getting into the habit of eating a bowl of oats porridge every morning is an amazing action. A healthy Oats bowl is flexible in terms of what you want to add and eat and its tastes. It keeps you filling for few hours and helps in keeping you away from high carbs and calories snacks. Honey is an excellent ingredient, very nutritious and comes with various health benefits. It contains flavonoids, antioxidants that help reduce the risk of some cancers and heart disease.

Since centuries it is valued for its nutritional and medical values. It is loaded with antibacterial and antifungal properties. Honey is fat free, cholesterol free and sodium free. So adding honey to your oats will surely provide with some exciting nutritional benefits. Mango is a striking summer fruit that kids love to eat. Adding mango into oats will tempt them to eat the healthy bowl. Mangoes are rich in antioxidants and add lots of fiber to the diet.  Mangoes offer important vitamins and minerals for our body, preventing that way from many dangerous diseases and keeping our body healthy and fit.

The fruit is also rich in vitamin E and it is believed that therefore this fruit is an aphrodisiac. They are good for acidity, digestion, and heart problems and also prevent from cancer. They are good source of vitamin C and iron which is good for glowing skin. Fully ripe mangoes can be eaten as a fruit or in a form of dish used in desserts such as ice-creams, kulfi, puddings, Mango Crepes, Mango lassi, Mango Halwa, Mango Kalakandh etc

Recipe of Oats Summer Mango Honey Bowl:

Ingredients:

 Ripe Mango, cut into pieces              -        1 no

Oats                                                          -        1 ½ cup

Water                                                       -        1 ½ cup

Salt                                                           -        pinch

Honey                                                      -        1 tbsp

Cinnamon powder                               -        1 -2 pinch 

Directions:

  • Cut a ripe mango into pieces and keep aside.
  • Take a pan and boil 1 ½ glass of water and add oats. Cook for few minutes until done.
  • Add pinch of salt and mix nicely. Switch off the flame.
  • Transfer the cooked oats into a bowl.
  • Top in with mango pieces.
  • For sweetness, pour little honey over the oats and mango. Sprinkle pinch of cinnamon powder and serve.
