"This is an authentic Indian-style okra with bell peppers.
- Wash and cut okra into 1 inch pieces or slice it with a slight slant.
- Mix the cut okra with the turmeric and keep aside. Cut onion into thin slices. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds.let it splutter.
- Then add the onions and saute them till they become transparent.Keep the heat to medium. Introduce the okra at this point and saute well till al lthe stickiness goes away.
- By now the onions will all start to turn brown. Add salt ,cover and cook on low flame till the okra is done. do not add water at all.
- Finally add the pepper powder and let it cook on low flame till the pepper is nicely incorporated with the okra for about 1 to 2 minutes. Check salt and turn off the flame .
