Description

Peel out its skin and chop into pieces. 2. Wash toordal and take into a steel bowl . Add 1 cup water and add chopped raw mango pieces . Boil this in cooker for 5 whistles . When pressure goes off mash dal and mango into a smooth paste. 3. Heat a pan add 2 tspns oil , do talimpu by adding 1/4 tspn mustard seeds , 1/4tspn cumin seeds , 2 vertically slitted green chillies , 2 crushed garlic , pinch of hing , pinch of methi powder , few curry leaves . 4. Immediately add 250ml of water . Add 1 tspn of salt , pinch of turmeric , pinch of jaggery (marble size) , add mashed dal mango mixture. 5. when it comes to boil check the taste and adjust accordingly by adding water if it is too sour . 6.Let this boil fully then add 1/2 tspn MTR rasam powder and few sprigs of finely chopped coriander leaves. Boil for 10mins and switchoff. 7 . Serve hot with rice and papad.
