this recipe is made from tapioca cooking in the malaylan style, using banana leaf.
*remove the skin of the tapioca and grate it. * take two cups of the gratings and add a pinch of salt to it and leave it aside for a few minutes. * after sometime it will give out water. squeeze out the water gently and make it dry using tissue papers. *make a pooran by mixing the coconut sugar/ jaggerypowder and cardomom powder. *spread the gratings on a small sized banana leaf ,keep 2 to 3 tsp of the pooran in the middle, and close the leaf. * prepare some more in a similar way and steam in an idli cooker. * remove the steamed tapioca appams from the leaf and serve.
