This is a simple south indian fry which goes well with tomato rasam and rice.1. Slit dondakaya/tindora into vertical pieces. 2. heat oil in a pan 3.add tadka (mustard seeds , cumin seeds, {a few vertically slit green chillies if you like } (optional) 4. once the tadka is ready add the tindora pieces 5. let it fry for 2 minutes without the lid. 6. Cover it with lid and cook/fry for another 3-4 minutes in medium flame 7. once the tindora pieces appear shiny and soft, add haldi, mirchi powder, a pinch of coriander powder and salt to this preparation 8. let the spices mix with all the tindora pieces 9. Now add dry grated coconut. 10. let it Fry for a minute without lid . mix the grated coconut with all the tindora and spices 11. turn off the gas 12.
