Its usually prepared by the Christians during Christmas and given like a prasadam, (not really) but made for their prayers on Christmas day. Preheat the oven at 350 F and grease wax paper on a baking tray. Sift together the All purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Cream together the butter + sugars and then beat in the eggs one at a time. Now whisk the flour mixture into the above. Add in the dates and walnuts and mix well. Pour the batter on the above greased tray carefully to spread uniformly by placing the mixture first at the sides of the tray.
