Sabudana is popularly known as sago or Tapioca. Biryani with baby potatoes, are spicy and flavourful.
- Soak sabudana in water for 2-3 hours.
- Take Half cooked potatoes and keep it aside.
- In a pan add oil for deep frying the potatoes and let it fry.
- Take another pan add oil, bay leaf, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and saute it little bit.
- Then add mace, lichen stone flower, star anise, shahi jeera, sliced onions and saute it.
- Then add salt, green chilli paste, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, ginger garlic paste and saute it, later add coriander leaves, mint and yogurt to mix it nicely.
- After few minutes add fried potatoes to the mixture and cover it then keep aside for dum.
- Take small kadai add oil, mint, coriander leaves, salt, sabudana, peanut powder for coating and then roast it.
- Now take the dum mixture add lime juice, then add sabudana mixture and later add ghee, saffron and simmer it for 12-15minutes.
- Now transfer into a serving plate then sprinkle some chopped coriander leaves and add fried onions.
