Ingredients used in YAM KABAB
• Yam (cut into pieces) - 1 cup.
• Garlic - 4 cloves.
• Ginger pieces(1 inch) - 4 number.
• Green chilies - 5 numbers.
• Coriander with stems - 1 bunch.
• Salt - to taste.
• Cumin powder - ½ tea spoon.
• Coriander powder - ½ tea spoon.
• Red chili powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Oats powder - 3 tablespoons.
• Bread crumbs - ½ cup.
• Oil - 2 teaspoons.
Method:
  • Peel and cut the yam into small cubes, then cook it till it is nice and soft.
  • In a blender, add garlic cloves, ginger pieces, green chilies, coriander, salt, make it into a nice paste.
  • Mash boiled yam pieces in a bowl and add cumin powder, coriander powder, prepared a paste, red chili powder, salt to taste, oats powder till you get a binding texture.
  • Shape this mixture into small flat patties and roll in the breadcrumbs then shallow fry the patties by adding oil. Cook them till they become crisp and brown on both sides.

Serve it hot with tomato chutney or pudina chutney.
