Ingredients used in Usal pav
• Mustard seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Chopped coriander leaves - 1 tablespoon.
• Green chilies - 2-3 numbers.
• Red chili powder - 1 tablespoon.
• Cumin powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Boiled potato - 1 numbers.
• Onion - 2 numbers.
• White peas (soaked for 5-6 hrs), - 1 cup.
• Turmeric powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Asafoetida - 1 pinch.
• Salt - to taste.
• Lemon - 2 pieces.
• Pav (indian bread) - 2 numbers.
• Oil - 2 tablespoons.
• Red chilies - 2 numbers.
• Garlic(chopped) - 1 tea spoon.
• Garam masala - 1 pinch.
• Tomato(chopped) - 1 number.
• Cinnamon and cloves powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Tamarind juice - 1 tablespoon.
• Cumin seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
Method:
  • Soak white peas for 5-6 hours and boil them with enough water.
  • Heat some oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, red chilies, green chilies, chopped onion pieces, salt, mix it
  • Saute onion pieces till they turn brown, garlic, turmeric powder, cumin powder, red chili powder,and add garam masala mix well.
  • Now add tomato, water thenadd boiled peas and coarsely peastof peas, mix it and cook till the gravy thickens slightly.
  • In this add cinnamon and cloves powder, tamarind juice, mix it.
  • Garnish with onions, coriander leaves, and lemon serve with pav.

ofcourse they look like chickpeas but they will be smaller and just the size of green peas they will be labeled as yellow peas sorry its not chick peas hope it will help u
