Leeks Curry - Ulli Parakalu Tomato Curry

Ingredients used in Leeks Curry - Ulli Parakalu Tomato Curry
• Spring onion (chopped) - 4 bunch.
• Poppy seeds - 1 tablespoon.
• Desiccated coconut powder - 1 tablespoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Oil - as required.
• Mustard seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Cumin seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Urad dal - 1 tea spoon.
• Chana dal - 1 tea spoon.
• Moong dal - 1 tea spoon.
• Masoor dal - 1 tea spoon.
• Turmeric powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Ginger garlic paste - 1 tea spoon.
• Curry leaves - 2 spring.
• Green chillies - 3 number.
• Tomatoes - 8 number.
• Red chili powder - 1 tablespoon.
• Cumin powder - 1 tablespoon.
• Coriander powder - 1 tablespoon.
Method:
  • Blend poppy seeds, desiccated coconut powder, salt to a fine powder and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, urad dal, chana dal, moong dal, masoor dal and saute it well.
  • Now add turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste, curry leaves, chopped green chilies, chopped white stems of spring onions, tomatoes, salt, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, prepared poppy seeds powder and cook for about 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Also, add chopped green stems of spring onions and cook for about 5 minutes.

Hot and delicious Ulli Parakalu Tomato Curry is now ready to serve with hot rice.
