Ingredients used in tiny shrimps in mustard gravy
• Chopped onion - 1/2 cup.
• Cumin powder - 1/4 tablespoons.
• Turmeric - 1/4 teaspoons.
• Salt - 1/2 teaspoons.
• Green chilli - 1 numbers.
• Mustard seeds - 1/4 tablespoons.
• Vegetable oil - 4 tablespoons.
• Mustard paste - 2 tablespoons.
• Tiny shrimps - 1 pound.
• Potatoe - 1/2 cup.
• Chopped tomato - 1/4 cup.
• Mustard oil - 1/2 teaspoons.
Method:
firstly wash the tiny prawns and mix a little salt and turmeric with it.saute the shrimps for 3-4 minutes.cut the potato to 1/2inch cubes.then in a pan put oil, add mustard seeds when oil is hot.as the mustard seeds splutter add cut green chilli and chopped onions.fry for 1-2 minutes and add the cut potatoes,turmeric,salt,cumin powder and fry it till potatoes are 75% cooked.then add the chopped tomatoes.cover it till the tomatoes are half cooked.then with a strainer add the mustard paste and the mustard oil.add a little water and as it boils add the fried shrimps.cover it as the water evaporates and the flavour of the shrimp is mixed with the gravy.serve it hot with rice.
