Ingredients used in SOYA CHUNKS PULAO
• Soya chunks - 100 grams.
• Basmati rice - 1 cup.
• Cloves - 3 numbers.
• Cinnamon sticks - 2 numbers.
• Shahi jeera - ½ tea spoon.
• Cashew nuts - 15 numbers.
• Green chilli - 3 numbers.
• Ginger garlic paste - ½ tea spoon.
• Methi leaves - 3 springs.
• Mint leaves - 1 spring.
• Coriander powder - ½ tea spoon.
• Chilli powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Garam masala - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Curd - 1/2 cup.
• Water - 1 cup.
• Coriander (chopped) - ½ tea spoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Oil - as required.
• Ghee - 3 tablespoon.
• Cardamom - 3 numbers.
• Onions - 1 number.
Method:
  • Soak the soya chunks in hot water for 15 minutes.
  • Heat ghee and oil in a pan and add cloves, cinnamon sticks, cardamom, shahi jeera, cashew nuts, green chili, sliced onions, salt saute it for 2 minutes.
  • Then add ginger garlic paste cook this till raw flavor is gone. Add methi leaves, mint leaves, coriander powder, chili powder, soaked soya chunks, saute it for 2 minutes.
  • then add garam masala and add curd and required water, salt. Once it comes to boil add soaked basmati rice, let it cook for 2 to 3 minutes in a high flame.
  • Reduce the flame and put the lid on and let it cook for 5 minutes or until rice cooked.
  • After 5 to 6 minutes soya chunks pulao ready, switch off the flame and add chopped coriander leaves cook it for 2 minutes.
  • After 2 minutes serve it with raita.

Nice recipe.One small suggestion.. For tasting, its good to use tasting spoons and change the spoons each time you taste. Licking the food off your palm and continuing to cook with the same hands doesn't look hygienic.?
