Ingredients used in Sour Potato curry - Aloo Dahi ka salan
• Green chilies (chopped) - 2 numbers.
• Turmeric powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Chili powder - 1 tablespoon.
• Coriander powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Cumin powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Curry leaves - 2 springs.
• Ginger garlic paste - 1 tea spoon.
• Dry red chilies - 2 numbers.
• Kalonji (optional) - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Methi seeds / fenugreek seeds - 1/8 tea spoon.
• Cumin seeds - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Mustard seeds - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Oil - 1 tablespoon.
• Coconut powder - 1 tablespoon.
• Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon.
• Peanuts - 1 tablespoon.
• Coriander leaves (chopped) - 1/2 bunch.
• Mint leaves (chopped) - 1/2 bunch.
• Yogurt (beaten) - 1 tablespoon.
• Potatoes (boiled) - 250 grams.
• Onion (sliced) - 1 number.
Method:
  • Heat a pan, add peanuts, dry roast this on a slow flame.
  • Add sesame seeds to it, then add coconut powder, saute it and put this into the blender along with some water. Make it to a fine paste.
  • Heat oil in another pan, add mustard seeds, when mustard seeds splutter add cumin seeds, red chilies, methi seeds, kalonji (optional), saute it for about a minute.
  • To it, even add sliced onions, salt, curry leaves, cook this till onions are golden in colorthen add ginger garlic paste, cook this again till raw flavor is gone.
  • In the same pan, add turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, green chilies, peanut and sesame seed paste along with some water and mix it like a thin paste. Later, cook this on a slow flame for 30 minutes.
  • Then add chopped coriander leaves, chopped mint leaves, beaten yogurt, mix it.
  • At last, add boiled potatoes and let it cook with closed lid for 15-20minutes. Then switch off the flame.

Serve this with naan or chapathi.

1sr0: he does. I've been watching his videos for years. Look at his lips, so much of lipstick awfully visible, and foundation on his face as well. He is one if my fab. Cooks, I always use his recipes.
