Ingredients used in Ridge Gourd Lemon Pulihora
• Ridge gourd (peel and cut into small pieces) - 1 number.
• Cumin seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Mustard seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Ginger pieces (chopped) - 1 small.
• Turmeric powder - pinch.
• Curry leaves - 3 springs.
• Hing - pinch.
• Chana dal - 1 tea spoon.
• Urad dal - 1 tablespoon.
• Green chillies (slitted) - 5 numbers.
• Dry red chillies - 3 numbers.
• Peanuts - 1 tablespoons.
• Salt - to taste.
• Oil - as required.
• Lemon - 1 numbers.
• Cooked rice - 1 cup.
Method:
  • Heat oil in a pan when it is hot enough, add mustard seeds, red chilies, cumin seeds, peanuts, chana dal and urad dal, hing, a pinch of turmeric powder, curry leaves and saute all these nicely.
  • Then add a chopped ridge gourd, ginger, salt as per taste, saute all these nicely.
  • When ridge gourd is cooked, add lemon juice, cooked rice and mix well till all the flavors are incorporated with each other.
  • Take a plate and serve with curd.

Now yummy Ridge Gourd Lemon Pulihora is ready.
