Ingredients used in Rai Wali Bhindi
• Bhindi / okra (chopped) - 250 grams.
• Sugar - half tea spoon.
• Turmeric powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Green chilies (chopped) - 2 number.
• Onions ( chopped) - 1 number.
• Onion seeds (kalonji) - 1 tea spoon.
• Mustard oil - 1 tablespoon.
• Cumin powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Chili powder - half tablespoon.
• Yellow mustard paste - 1 & half tablespoons.
• Salt - to taste.
• Oil - as required.
• Coriander powder - 1 tablespoon.
• Coriander leaves (chopped) - 1 bunch.
Method:
  • First deep fry the okras and keep it aside.
  • Take a bowl, add water, coriander powder, cumin powder, chili powder, yellow mustard paste, mix it well.
  • Heat mustard oil in a pan till it gets to smoky flavor, add kalonji, chopped onions and cook it till onions are light brown in color.
  • Then add green chilies, turmeric powder, sugar and saute it for a minute.
  • Pour the above prepared paste on the top of the caramelised onions along with salt and cook for some more time.
  • Add fried okra, mix it well and cook it with closed lid for about 2 minutes then switch off the flame.

Delicious Rai Wali Bhindi Awesome Mustard Okra is now ready to serve.
