Ragi is called as finger millet in English, kezhvaragu in Tamil. Ragi laddu or ragi ladoo is a very healthy sweet which is made with ragi flour or finger millet flour. They are also called as finger millet balls.

Ragi is called as finger millet in English, kezhvaragu in Tamil. Ragi or finger millet is red in color and is very nutritious, The ubiquitous ladoo made with Ragi (Finger Millet), which is much healthier and tastier too! Calcium rich Ragi Laddu loaded with dry fruits is an excellent energy booster.

Ingredients used in RAGI LADDU
• Ghee - 3 teaspoons.
• Ragi flour / finger millet flour - 1 cup.
• Cashew nut - 8 number.
• Cardamom powder - 1 pinch.
• Jaggery(grated) - 3/4 cup.
Method:
  • Slightly heat 1 teaspoon of ghee in a pan, add ragi flour and roast on a slow flame then transfer into a plate.
  • Crush cashew nut with a pestle, keep aside.
  • To ragi flour plate, add cardamom powder, crushed cashew nuts, grated jaggery, transfer into a blender and blend it once.
  • Later, transfer to a plate, addghee and make round ladoo.
  • We can store this ladoo in a container for 15 days.

Now Ragi Laddu is ready to serve.
