Ingredients used in PLANTAIN SUKKE
• Chana dal - 1/4 cup.
• Toor dal - 1/4 cup.
• Tamarind juice - half cup.
• Jaggery - 1/4 cup.
• Plantain - 1 number.
• Turmeric powder - half tea spoon.
• Coriander seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Fenugreek seeds - 1 pinch.
• Red chillies - 8 numbers.
• Fresh coconut powder(grated) - half cup.
• Mustard seeds - half tea spoon.
• Urad dal - half tea spoon.
• Curry leaves - 1 spring.
• Oil - 1 tablespoon.
Method:
Peel the plantain and cut into pieces. Boil both the dals. Heat the pan and add chana dal, toor dal, tamarind juice, jaggery, plantain, water, little turmeric powder and mix it, and cook with lid on it. Heat the pan and add coriander seeds, fenugreek seeds, chana dal, red chillies and dry roast later transfer into mixie jar. To it add little turmeric powder, coconut powder and blend into smooth paste. Add the paste, salt to boiling dal mixture and mix it. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, urad dal, curry leaves and saute it later transfer into boiling dal mixture then mix nicely. *Now the plantain sukka is ready to serve.*
