Ingredients used in Milagu Kozhambu
• Salt - to taste.
• Urad dal - 20 grams.
• Red chillies - 3 numbers.
• Jeera - 15 to taste.
• Pepper - 20 numbers.
• Gingely oil - 3 tablespoons.
• Garlic - 12 numbers.
• Tamarind - 25 grams.
• Hinge powder - pinch.
• Mustard seeds - pinch.
Method:
1. Soak tamarind in warm water for 10 minsand take out tamarind water 2. In a tava, add 1tbsp of gingely oil and fry garlic nicely 3. Add tamarind water, salt, hinge powder and let it boit for 10 - 15 mins until raw flavor of tamarind goed 4. Fry red chillies, urad dal, curry leaves and pepper in another tava, make it as a fine paste in mixie 5. Add the paste to boiling tamarind mix and let it boil for 2 minsand switch off the flame 5. For seasoning, splutter mustard seeds and jeera in gingely oil 6. Serve with hot rice and ghee.
