Ingredients used in KUNDAPUR CHICKEN
• Green chilies (slited) - 2 numbers.
• Turmeric powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Ginger garlic paste - 1 tea spoon.
• Onion (chopped) - 1 number.
• Oil - 3 tablespoons.
• Fresh coconut (grated ) - 1/2 cup.
• Tamarind pieces (optional) - 10 grams.
• Fenugreek seeds - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Coriander seeds - 2 tablespoons.
• Pepper corn - 1 tea spoon.
• Red chilies - 2 numbers.
• Chicken - 500 grams.
• Curry leaves - 1 spring.
• Salt - to taste.
• Coconut milk - 2 tablespoons.
• Coriander (chopped) - 1 bunch.
Method:
  • In a pan add red chilies, peppercorn, coriander seeds, fenugreek seeds, tamarind pieces, dry roast the ingredients.
  • Then grind this ingredient to a fine paste by adding coconut powder and water.
  • Heat oil in another pan, add chopped onions, salt, ginger garlic paste, turmeric, green chilies, curry leaves, masala paste, and cook till oil oozes out of gravy.
  • Add chicken to the above pan, mix it and cook it with closed lid on a slow flame.
  • Later season it with salt, coconut milk and cook for another 10 minutes.
  • At last, sprinkle chopped coriander and switch off the flame.

Serve this hot with akki roti.

Chef do you know that the chicken recipe I used to cook before watching your videos is very similar to this but the masala I used is slightly different, if we eat that Kundapur Chicken curry with akki roti then we can sleep good..after eating! Thanks
