Ingredients used in Kottimiri Chutney
• Tamarind paste or wet tamarind( of the size of a coin) - 1 numbers.
• Red chiles - 2 numbers.
• Green mirchi(if small in size) - 4 numbers.
• Dhaniya - 3 bunch.
• Sugar or jaggery - 2 tablespoons.
Method:
Fry the corriander leaves very little to jes make it easy to crush.( donot fry crisply, jes add one spoon of oil and sort the leaves for 2 min). dont remove the stems.remove the roots before adding it to oil. Grind thered chilles , green chilles and grind the tamarind a little. (try to avoid making it like a paste).keep it little coarse. then add salt, sugar and sorted corriander and grind it to make it like pachadi. It should be like semi solid but still to beeasy to take it with dosa. The chutney is ready. optional but can add little tadka with mustard and hing. Gives a good flavour.
